Art History: Circulation Policies

Circulation Policies

Art Library materials which are needed for more than a day, are checked out to students on an ‘in house use’ basis, and will remain on the student's carrel, and not be shelved, for a loan period of one semester. Since this is an ‘in house use’ rule, we will still be able to locate books in any given student’s carrel in the library, so that we can continue the practice of sharing materials when necessary or desirable.

Faculty and staff who need to use materials from the Art Library may check them out formally, just as they do from other libraries on campus, for the same loan period, as long as the items are not needed for current art history classes, or reserves.

The librarian’s desk acts as the Circulation Desk, so please check things out and return them at that location.
