Helpful Tools and Links
At the top of the Compass page, you will find helpful tools and links to other research resources.
Depending on your device and settings all the link options may not be visible.
Click on the elipsis ... for more information and other options.
New Search
To start over and clear your search and all filters, click on the "New Search" link. This link will also direct you to more information, and links for help and to report a problem.
Course Reserves
Search for materials placed on reserve by course name, number, instructor, or title,
Search or browse the physical or electronic collections at Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin.
Found a citation and would like to find out if the article is available in an e-journal or in print? Try searching "Journals & Newspapers by Title"
Not finding what you need in Compass? Try searching "Databases A-Z" where you can search for databases by title of subject.
To access these options, click on the elipsis at the top of the page.
Both these services are also available on the Library's homepage.
Because of the overwhelming number of newspaper articles that are available through Compass, newspapers articles are excluded from many searches.
To search for newspaper articles click on the "Newspaper Article Search" link, then enter your search terms.
