There are many collections and ways to search on GovInfo. These are worth exploring! To search the Congressional Record choose Congressional Record or Congressional Record Bound (more info on what "Bound" means in the Congressional Record link above on this page).

You can also search Committee Hearings in GovInfo.

Good source for information about committees. A volume is issued for each Congress. Organized by state. It includes for each member: biography, political activities, committees, key votes, group ratings, National Journal ratings, election results, and for members of the House, description of the district and demographics. Also includes leadership, state profiles, campaign finance, etc. The entries for the chairs and committee members may include discussion of those individuals' roles and activities on the committees.

Proceedings of the floor of the House and Senate. What happened in Congress each day--debates, discussion, etc.

Agendas of congressional leadership, and congressional committees

To find party platforms choose "Documents" in the menu bar and then select "Party Platforms" from the list.

Agendas of the President

A database of state legislation on elections and campaigns organized by topic and by state.

Includes information on lawmakers, committee jurisdiction, and committee and subcommittee membership. Find past committee rosters here.
